Welcome to The Horrible Meadery online store. By placing an order or browsing our site, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Eligibility

To purchase mead from our webshop, you must be 18 years or older. By ordering, you confirm that you meet the legal drinking age in your country.

2. Products

We craft small-batch meads. Each product listing includes key information such as alcohol content, ingredients, and allergens (in bold, where required by EU law). Because we work with natural ingredients, small variations may occur.

3. Pricing

Prices are listed in EUR and include Dutch VAT (BTW). Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Prices are subject to change but will not affect confirmed orders.

4. Orders & Payment

Payment is due at checkout. We accept major payment methods via our secure checkout provider. An order confirmation will be sent via email.

5. Shipping

We currently ship to the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Orders are typically dispatched within [3–5] business days. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or customs.

6. Cancellations & Returns

Due to the nature of alcohol sales, we cannot accept returns of opened bottles. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of receipt with photo evidence. We’ll do our best to make it right.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or losses. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product in question.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our site—including logos, product names, text, and imagery—is the property of The Horrible Meadery and may not be used without permission.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent court in Utrecht, unless otherwise required by EU consumer protection law.
